如果SCSI主適配器沒有安裝，你需要先安裝它，再繼續(xù)安裝SCSI磁帶驅(qū)動器 。SCSI磁帶驅(qū)動器有1/4-inch,8mm和DAT 3種格式,安裝步驟如下：第一步 以root登錄，并確認系統(tǒng)在維護模式 。
第二步 通過三種方式進入硬件/核心管理 。
1 桌面：System Adminisfration→
Hardware/Kernel Manager
2 通過命令行，啟動系統(tǒng)管理菜單并選擇
“Harduare/Kernel Manager”：
scaodmin→Hardware /Kernel Manage
3 直接用命令行： mkdev tape
第三步 選擇第一項“Configure SCSI tape drive”
